Welcome to the CSUSB Technology Advisory Council web site. The purpose of the Technology Advisory Council (TAC) is to equip and/or advise the President when considering strategic directions vis-a-vis technology for advancing the University's mission. The Council will establish a framework for utilizing technology campus-wide in support of the vision, mission, and goals of the University. The Council will serve as a major focal point for campus-wide discussions for utilizing state-of-the art technologies to carry out its teaching/learning, campus environment, and partnership goals.

The Council began its work with a two-day technology strategic planning workshop on September 27-28, 2001. Ramon Harris, a national expert in technology strategic planning, conducted intensive training for the TAC on the process of strategic planning specifically for higher education technology. CSUSB's Dr. Fred Jandt, Professor of Communications Studies, facilitated the discussions and led the Council in the development of draft vision, mission, and goal statements, as well as guiding principles and an action plan outlining the full process.

We welcome your comments and suggestions as we proceed through the 2001/2002 academic year to develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategic plan for the California State University, San Bernardino.
